Information collected in Log Files includes said Anonymous Information such as your internet protocol (IP) address, internet browser type, and date and time stamps. The purpose of this data collection is for usage analytics and further website development.
Your Personally Identifiable Information is not linked to your Anonymous Information.
FurRIT leaves it up to you to keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. Other than the information required to register an account, all personal information shared with FurRIT is up to you the user. In order to verify your affiliation, your birthday and email address shared during the registration process will be verified with records at the Rochester Institute of Technology. This is for the security and safety of our users in order to prevent unauthorized access to the site. However, your information or usage of the site is not shared with with Rochester Institute of Technology and is verified completely anonymously by FurRIT Staff.
